Having come from a show biz family, I fell into performing naturally and by the time I was thirteen I had organized my own theater troupe. While attending college I did jingle singing and singing telegrams, worked at Six Flags Over Mid-America and did shows for The Young Americans. After college I did dinner theaters up and down the East coast, worked in Philly for a year and eventually moved to NYC in 1984. I earned my Equity card having worked for LOOM at The Cherry Lane Theater and doing 4 shows at The Paper Mill Playhouse. I was part of a musical comedy duo called Daugherty & Field and we played theaters and concert halls around the world until 1994. After touring Europe in 1996-1997 in the first international tour of Guys And Dolls I began teaching private voice at CAP21 and eventually Vocal Technique, Performance and Audition Rep. I was a pioneer director for Bravo's "Camp Broadway" and helped develop a local outreach program - "Curtain Up!". I've directed shows at CAP, in London as well as several original Off-Broadway musicals with my production company, Thoroughbred. I'm the recipient of 5 MAC awards and 2 Bistros and my first solo album garnered a Nightlife Award. I've produced a number of recordings and am a respected music archivist and writer. I am currently in development of a new musical in association with CAP21's new works department.
