It is only through philanthropic support that CAP21 is able to work with writers on developing new plays and musicals free from the constraints and pressures of the commercial theatre and produce a season of new and classic works for the public.  Current institutional supporters of CAP21 include the NEA, NYSCA, the American Theatre Wing, the Axe-Houghton Foundation, the Barbara Bell Cumming Foundation, the Puffin Foundation, and the Dorothy Strelsin Foundation.  In addition, we are grateful for our many generous individual donors.  Become a donor today and ensure the high level of expertise, talent and physical space needed to create and present musicals and plays of quality and relevance and train emerging artists.  Be a part of CAP21’s legacy of infusing the entertainment industry with source material and talent. 

 

Earmark a gift for:

• The Monday Night Reading Series for new and classic work
• Creation of Off-Off Broadway productions of new plays and musicals
• Conservatory Productions – Knowing that performance experience is critical to a student’s training, CAP21 independently produces three student shows a year since tuition only covers training time in the classroom
• Writers’ residencies and commissions
• Artists’ fees to engage talented actors, directors, music directors, musicians
• Maintenance of rehearsal studios and The Shop, CAP21’s performance space
