CAP21 faculty member J. Austin Eyer took a quick break from his busy schedule as a swing in the Broadway production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying to offer some Quick Tips....
CAP21 is hosting the 2nd Annual Gershwin Awards to celebrate outstanding achievement in musical theatre performance!
The Gershwin Awards is the New York City Chapter of the National High School Musical Theater Awards, an annual national celebration of outstanding achievement in musical theatre performance by high school students.
On May 19th high school students from all over the New York City Metropolitan Area will gather at CAP21 to participate in a series of group workshops, an interview, and a performance audition. Artistic Director Eliza Ventura will be a judge for the competition.
Winners will receive a scholarship to CAP21's Pre-College Musical Theatre Training Program and Musical Theatre College Audition Prep Program.
The Gershwin Awards is presented by the Broadway Education Alliance in partnership with Camp Broadway LLC and CAP21: America's Musical Theatre Conservatory and Theatre Company.

James LaRosa will star as filmmaker Mark Cohen in Bristol Riverside Theatre's production of Rent, under the direction of Jose Zayas.

Alli Mauzey is appearing as Glinda in the National Tour of Wicked.
Connor Mickewicz directed a production of Merrily We Roll Along at the New Helvetia Theatre which starred fellow CAP21 alums Matthew Schneider as Franklin, Courtney Glass as Gussie and Kiera Anderson as Beth.
Amy Marie McCleary just finished directing and choreographing 9 TO 5 at The Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre and will be directing and choreographing GREASE at The Broadway Palm in FL. She will also be directing and choreographing for The Little Theatre on the Square's productions of THE MUSIC MAN and 9 TO 5. In 2013 she will direct and choreograph SPAMALOT at The Herb Strauss Theatre in Sanibel Island, FL.
Jonathan McCrory is directing ENTER YOUR SLEEP which will be presented at Columbia University.
Adam Mosebach will be appearing in 42nd Street at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport.
Ryann Redmond has been nominated for an LA Critic Award for her performance in Bring It On - The Musical.

Ongoing Advanced Scene Study/Audition Prep Class with Sean Dougherty
Keep your acting skills honed and ready for the next audition. Sean Dougherty's ongoing scene study class can help apply the skills you learned in school, flex your muscles and keep your work audition-ready.
Work on material of any type that interests and challenges you and/or bring in material for upcoming auditions. CAP21graduates will receive priority placement, but the class is open to any working actors with prior training/work experience.
Monday nights at CAP 7-9pm
