TEACHING OPPORTUNITY:

CAP21 Alum Renee (Bonadio) Palermo is looking for an Acting Teacher for the upcoming academic year at her studio, Front & Center Performing Arts.

Description: Seeking acting teacher for kids ages 7-18. Must have teaching experience, great references, and a passion for teaching. Monday nights needed. Please email teaching and performing resume along with cover letter.

The Studio: Front & Center is a NJ based Performing Arts studio offering classes in dance, musical theatre, voice, and acting for ages 2 1/2 to 18. We also produce full scale musicals. Most teachers travel out from NYC via NJ Transit.

Job Start Date: 9/12/2011 Job End Date: 5/20/2012

Alumni Updates:

Ethan Angelica is appearing in Peg O' My Heart, The Musical at the June Havoc Theatre.

Breanna Bartley, Alicia Krakauer, Elyssa Mactas, Clinton Roane and Mathieu Whitman recently appeared in The Music of Joshua Salzman & Ryan Cunningham at The Duplex.

Hannah Chin, Elizabeth Early, Eric Giancola, Lisa Kassay and Chuck Rea are appearing in the National Tour of Mary Poppins.

Laura Darrell and her band recently performed a 45 minute set at Gizzi's.

Tripp Fountain and Larkin Bogan are appearing in the Broadway company of Hair.

Stephani Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga, was nominated for a 2011 Prime Time Emmy Award.

After touring with the National Company for two and a half years, Geoffrey Goldberg will be joining the Broadway Company of Mary Poppins as Dance Captain.

Alex Goley, Mary Lane Haskell, Jeanette Minson and Amanda Savan all appeared in the prestigious Broadway's Rising Stars at Town Hall in NYC on July 18th.

Adam Gwon's new musical The Boy Detective Fails will have a limited engagement at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA.

James LaRosa is now appearing in The Tailor, a new film which has been officially selected for the Sedona Int'l Film Festival and the Vail Film Festival

Molly McAdoo is appearing in The Comedy of Errors at the Wilselton Theater Festival.

Alli Mauzy is currently appearing as Audry in Little Shop of Horrors at Goodspeed Opera House.

Kera Mickiewicz (Anderson) and Bradford Anderson just had a baby!

Dan Pacheco is currently playing Boq in the National Tour of Wicked!

Emily Rose Prats first album EVERYBODY KNOWS, which includes three country covers and a jazz cover, is now available for download from iTunes and Amazon.

Paula Reca is appearing as Sophie in the Argentinian production of Mama Mia.

Jared Stein is conducting the orchestra for the Broadway production of Hair.

Molly Stoller is appearing in Plastic Flamingo Presents Fit: A New Play at Teatro LATEA.

Jackie Washam will be appearing in the ensemble and as the understudy for Guinevere in the Engelmonth Theatre's production of Camelot.

Beyond the Classroom:

Susan Cameron's new book, Perfecting Your English Pronunciation, is now available on Amazon.com.

Join Ryan Murray on Wednesday evenings for, "Total Body Workout Class". Classes will be offered at CAP21 throughout the summer from 6:30-8:00pm. Cost is just $10.00. ALL fitness levels welcome. Bring your mat and a bottle of water, and get ready to sweat!

Nick Cianfrogna will be teaching a 10-week dialect course this summer at CAP21. Classes will be held on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm in room 504. Classes began on May 23rd, but there is still time to participate. Only $40 per class! Contact him at [email protected].

Starting Monday August 15, CAP21 alum and dance faculty member, Austin Eyer, will be teaching a Open Jazz Class at CAP21. The class is geared toward an intermediate level, but all levels are welcome.

Classes are 90 minutes and meet from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at CAP21 Studios, 6th Floor. Classes will consist of a 30 minute warm up, a short across the floor technique review and then culminates in a Jazz combination taught at "dance audition speed". Drop in for a single class for $12
