Describe your experience with Summer Stock NYC:

Working on Summer Stock NYC was such a great experience. Being able to collaborate with the faculty and students of CAP21 was such a wonderful learning experience and having worked on the same stage with people like Tony Stevens, James Bulleri, Scott Burkell, not to mention Karen Mason and Colleen Zenk. It was just incredible!

What did you learn from working in a professional theatre setting?

I learned a lot about putting a show together in a short amount of time. I also learned a lot from observing the professionals in rehearsals. It was a very rewarding experience to be around professionals and see how a professional production is put together.

What was the most successful aspect or element of your experience?

Observing experienced theatre performers, directors and choreographers in a professional rehearsal setting was the most useful part for me. Each choreographer and director had a different style of teaching and it was neat to experience. In school we usually have over a month to put a show together, but in Summer Stock NYC we only had about two weeks! It was a lot of work and taught me how to better think on my feet.

Are there any other comments you can share to provide insight for future

participants in Summer Stock NYC?

It was a wonderful experience that you can truly take a lot out of, I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of pursuing a career in professional theater.
